Trees Indiana’s mission is to inspire
and educate Indiana’s youth to become stewards who plant, protect and
maintain their community trees. Research shows today’s youth spend 40.5
hours in front of a screen each week. Trees Indiana seeks to engage
youth in nature as they plan and care for trees in their neighborhood.
New nature trail right
next door!

Enjoy the scenic new walking trail at Eagle Marsh, Allen County’s
largest nature preserve with 676 acres of restored wetlands. Operated by
the Little River Wetlands Project, Eagle Marsh provides an oasis of
birds, wildlife, and several Indiana ecosystems. And within the next two
years, the Aboite Trails will link directly with Eagle Marsh via the
historic Wabash & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Currently under design and
construction in 4 phases, the 5-mile Towpath Trail will connect the
Aboite Trails to Fort Wayne’s Rivergreenway, creating over 40 miles of
cross-county trail links.
